Was cleaning out hutch and found some little white worms/maggots the buns were on the lawn and have mislaid their "fly guard" stuff. I have not checked their bottoms yet! Are these worms or maggots? i am very consientous (SP) about clean ing out hutch. Now a mass of anxiety in case they have maggots!! Any one any advice please

Sound like maggots to me, I would clean and disinfect hutch and definitely check the bunnies, we are starting to get into flystrike season with the warm spell and it can kill them very quickly if not treated.

Did a bum check! Alls well there and got some stuff from vets and painted it on them! Needless to say not too impressed. Nurse at vets was telling me its on the increase. Thanks for advice

Lol, the things we have to do for our pets.

 

I am paranoid about flystrike because I keep sheep and it can kill them really fast, it's a horrid thing (haven't ever had it in my sheep yet, touch wood).
