Just recently we have found that ever 2 or 3 days one of our flock is devouring the eggs in the nestbox - only the insides, not the shells. This is a new problem to us and we don't know which of our 9 is doing it as all seem fine and behaving normally. Plenty calcium provided via grit and shells are good. Any ideas why she is doing this?

Probably she likes the taste after chancing on an accidentally broken one and finding it delicious.

 

Why not try the blown eggs filled with mustard trick, or a few pot eggs to stop her.

Good idea - if it keeps happening will go for the mustard option!
