A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I made a post holder for the hallway. One pocket for OH's post, one for mine, one for junk.
katehicken
What a brilliant idea! especially as our junk always ends up on the stairs for days as I am too lazy to put it in the recycling! Nice fabric aswell was it hard to make??
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
It's dead easy. Cut a long rectangle of fabric, fold it in half and sew it round three edges leaving a gap at each end near the fold. Sew it right sides together. Turn it inside out when you've done that so it's now the RIGHT way round. This gives you a nice finish round the edge. Then take three small rectangles of pretty fabric (checking you've made them wide enough to hold whatever you want to put in them) and sew them on, tucking the edges under as you go so they are hemmed. Then sew a line along the top of the fabric just under your holes. Slide a bamboo pole inside this long hole, and thread some cord through to hang it up with. Knot the cord and you're done.
