sadietoo Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Hi, One of my girls has a purple comb....she has always had it....it is just a bit pinker at the tips since she came into lay. She is a white hybrid (not quite sure of what and what) she does have a very few odd black spots on a few of her feathers ( a bit like someone has used her as an ink blotter ) She seems as right as rain, (if a bit on the small size ) but I read somewhere that a purple comb can be indicative of a heart problem... Does anyone know if that is true if the chook has never had a red comb? ie it hasn't turned purple it has always been that way?
