How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Can anyone suggest how I can move my broody chicken out of the nest box. We tried to get her out but she just pecked my boyfriend! Opps !!!

 

I'm at work all day and have another hen. So I can't keep an eye on her. I also have another hen and not sure if she will stop laying too.

 

Any advice please!!

Delia pecks us when she's broody. You'll just have to go for it and lift her out. Wear a pair of gloves. That should reduce the impact a bit.

Your broody hen will put the other one off laying if you don't separate them. With only having two, make sure that they can see each other though. Put the broody into something like a rabbit run but don't give her any materials that she can nest into. You have to be quite hard with them and as the weather isn't too bad she will need to have her front dunked into very cold water to reduce the heat in her chest.

 

It is strange though. I have no problems isolating my broody chickens except for Mrs. Beeton. I always feel so guilty when it's her, daft woman that I am.

I got a £20 puppy crate from Ebay and have used it 3 times succcessfully. I feel very guilty putting the poor hens in it but it's really being cruel to be kind .
