asker of stupid questions alert.

 

Is it possible my ladies could be moulting, one is displaying a distinct change of colouring and she seems to have primary flight feather where she previously had clipped ones.

 

Or am I just paranoid!!

 

obvioulsy if they have re-grown, I will have to clip

Definitely sounds like a regrowth following a moult.

 

The new feathers are very vivid against the old ones.

oh, i thought that they didn't moult till about 12 months old. And i thought i had learn't so much

Don't worry, I recently had to ask why my girls hadn't ever moulted .

looks like I shall be mostly trimming this weekend then, I told dh this and he looked scared, hesistant and then said 'think i will leave that to you'.
