tania
I have read that Citricidal is good for sneezing, is this the case? I think I heard one of the girls make a sneeznig noise a couple of days ago and am now a bit concerned. Having 'Googled' the name it's obvioulsy homeopathic, can I get it from the health food shop? If not where can I get it? Any other ideas or remedies would be most welcome. Thanks
Lizzie
Hi I had been using citricidal on one of my chooks who was occasionally sneezing but her breathing was not right (rattly ) so I took her to the vets and she has a chest infection which she now has antibiotics for. The Dogmother
Some chooks just sneeze sometimes, a bit like we do, but it's important to keep an eye on their breathing as Lizie has just shown. If you put your ear to the hens back and listen, it should sound 'clear' rather than rattly or bubbly. Citricidal is an excellent human grade, natural anti-bacterial and ant-viral liquid. It tastes unbelievably bitter, so if you're going to try it yourself, mix just a drip with some fruit juice. Put a few drops in their water if you suspect that one of them has a cold.
