Yolky
I seem to get more eggs in the winter than the summer. I have one chook, peaches, who goes broody at the drop of a hat, despite being a . So she is blocking the blinking nest box. This seems to put the others off laying so I have gone from 3 eggs a day in the winter to 1 egg a day. My husband even built her a box to sit in if she wanted to be broody but she didn't want to know, little tinker!

feemcg
A few weeks ago I was getting 8-10 eggs a day, KT has been broody for about 10 days and I'm down to 4-5! I put her out in the spare eglu run when I'm around but she's been in with the others while I'm at work, so she hogs the nest too (they have other nests of course but as usual all want to lay in the same one ).
