fluffyknickers
Hi all, probably a silly question to all you experts but not too experienced... I am growing the salad leaves I received free with Lakeland brochure and they are sprouting really well and about and inch long. Do I need to thin them out by pulling some out or just leave them to grow ready for picking and just carry on watering them and leave alone? They are in two tubs. Thanks Michelle
Matthew
depending on the type of leaf i would pick when small to eat as well as thinning out if that makes sense... leaving gaps so that as the ones you leave have room to grow... if they are cut and come again I would do the same but with the remaining ones you can cut to about 1-2 inches and leave to regrow but pull out the early ones you take to thin out as mentioned
Lesley
Yes, thin them out and transplant the ones you remove into another pot, or the flower borders.
