Has anyone used one of these and do they actually work? I detest wasps and would buy this in a heartbeat if it works

No idea Chicky, might be worth a try. Nasty things but don't they make beautiful homes? . I've got about 3 really ancient nests in my attics but they look so amazing and alien like I don't want to get rid of them!

I have one hanging from my apple tree. I bought it last August and we already had a nest established in our eaves. It didn't frighten the wasps away. I am hoping that this year it will prevent a new nest being established.

 

So I can't say it works yet! We ALWAYS get a wasps' nest, so if we don't this year I will assume it works! It certainly claims to have been tested well.

You'll never guess what works just as well, and is free, unless you have to go to the market to buy some veg to get one? A brown paper bag, blown up and hung near to where you are eating! The wasps apparently think its a nest of another colony and steer clear. Doesn't always work but you've not had to spend £9.95 plus postage.
