sharon71
Just realised my cockrel has a problem with just one eye. It seems very runny & watery but is also discharging a pus. Its obviously bothering him and hes trying to clean it. Any ideas?
chelsea
You could for now just bathe it in some cold black tea, but to be honest it sounds like with the pus a trip to the vets and antibiotics will be needed. We've had 2 eye problems here and both required antibiotics.
Egluntyne
I agree....he needs to see a vet. There could be a foreign body in the eye. Best to let the professionals deal with it.
sharon71
Thanks for the advice. We were bathing his eye with lukewarm water until the vets opened again after the bank holiday but miraciously all problems seem to have diappeared! The discharge was really bad and he was keeping it closed at all times. It looked badly infected - but looking at him now, it seems perfect. Will keep a close eye on him over the next while. Thanks
