I have just received my 4 free tickets to this event this July and was wondering if anyone on here has ever been and what it is like. I am planning to ask my dad if he wants to go and see if any of the kids wants to come.

If you've got free tickets I would go... unless you really, REALLY, REALLY hate motor racing.

 

I've not actually done the meeting myself (until it moved to Silverstone it always clashed with the 24 hour race at Silverstone) but I know people who have

 

I've always had reports that it is a very good meeting with some interesting machinery racing... possibly even F1 cars? well, probably demos rather than races for the F1

 

HOWEVER, it does get very busy because the tickets are all free. When it was at Donington, it used to be a nightmare getting out. I haven't had traffic reports about lasts year's race at Silverstone, though.

 

I hope you go and that you enjoy it.

I think this year we'll be at Donington for the Dunlop Great and British Festival so we still won't get to WSR.

It seems to have a good mixture of single seaters and "tin-tops" racing plus F1 demos so something for everybody.
