Teddy Bear
Does anyone know of Breeders in Ireland? I'm not having much luck. I'm based in Dublin but I know I'll probably have to travel to collect. I'd love to get my hands on a Miss Pepperpot and a Gingernut Ranger . Any assistance wiould be relly appreciated. Though much to my husbands dismay I'm already looking to increase my brood to include an Amber lee and a Bovan Goldline. And I haven't even got the Eglu yet. wiblick
Hey Teddy Bear! can't help you with those specific breeds but I can point you in the direction of a few Irish breeders. Whereabouts are you based? You'll probably have a bit of a drive to collect. And there might be a waiting list with some of these people. You'll find hybrids and standard brown hens advertised in http://www.buyandsell.ie this time of year. Search for pullets Any other breeder I have found does purebreds, they tend to be heavy fowl and therefore while 3 will fit in the house part of the eglu they would need an extension or daily free-ranging. http://www.midlandpoultry.com - most sold as growers and unsexed, but does POL standard brown hybrids Stephanie & York Palmer Breeders of utility fowl: Sussex (6 colours), Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Marans, Silkies, Orpingtons, Barnevelders, Leghorns and more. Also turkeys and muscovies. From fertile hatching eggs , chicks, growers to hens. Phone: 0862226404 Address: Corlough, Co. Cavan Email: corrachombra@hotmail.com Joseph Payne Thornwell Poultry Farm Thornwell House Edenderry Co Offaly 086-8201777 (RIR, Sussex, Marans, and Barnevelders) and http://www.luggacurrenpoultry.com/ Hope someone is able to help you, there aren't that many resources in Ireland and hardly anyone has a web presence, let me know how you get on.
