I've been in the garden today making a free ranging area for my girls around the eglu and run. The eager little madams were trying to break for freedom every time I open the eglu run!

Any advice about fencing? I have either standard chicken wire or netting similar to the one sold by omlet. The height of the fence will be 5ft and this area shall only be used for free ranging when we are at home (the girls will be locked away safely in the eglu at night!)

 

Any comments would be appreciated

i have the omlet netting and it works fine .

I like it because I can move it around the elgu as I get the girls to " weed" my veg plot before I put the veg in !

 

I then move the fence and finish off the plot ie veggies in and move on to the next bed

 

so far it's working

once garden is sorted out I will give them their own part of the space.
