poachedegg
Poppy one of our ex batts is being picked on, but by more than one of the others. No actual fighting just generally having a go at her, but quite frequently. Poppy was the most feathered out of the three when we first got them, however, whilst the other 2 have feathered up nicely and look like normal chickens, Poppy still has feathers missing and a paleish, floppy comb. Poppy goes to bed a good couple of hours earlier than the others and during the day has taken to sitting in the house or in the door of the house. Question is should we be doing anything? She is eating and drinking fine and does come out when she wants to. It isn't being done by one particular chicken - so is this life bottom of the pecking order or should I be considering other things like having her separate and getting her a friend or could that create more issues? sgregson
Hi, I'm new to all of this so don't have much advice but I remember reading somewhere that a hosepipe or water pistol is good if you catch the bully in action. I'm sure someone will be along soon with more ideas/solutions
