Boybeck
I'm in the process of building a walk in run for my three chickens. I must admit it's testing my limited DIY skills to the limit, but I'm getting there! Do you think the space is big enough? 345 cm long x 160cm wide x 190 cm high. I will put the eglu outside the run so that gives them a bit more room. I currently let the chickens free range all day but they are making such a mess of the garden I want to contain them a little bit more. meezers
I still use feet and inches, so not sure if I've converted that right- is it about 9ft by 4 ft ? That should be fine for 3 chooks, but is the height 5ft ? if so, unless you are under that in height, I'd suggest you add a few inches- my first walk in run is 5ft high ( as that was the length the wood came in ) I'm 5ft 2 inches and am forever scalping myself when I go in the run ! wiblick
Plenty big. A few perches & the odd hanging cabbage and they'll love it. I think 190 is 6ft?
Boybeck
Sorry for the centimetres lark, I get confused with feet and inches - hehehe. 11 ft long x 5ft wide x 6ft high.
Ain't Nobody Here
Mine's 3m x 2m which using a conversion calculator seems to be 9'8" x 8'2". (Link in my signature if you want to get an idea of its size.) My 3 girls have lots of perches, a bench and the eglu on a table which gives them lots of extra floor space. They seem very happy and often spend time in there even though their door is open . So yes, it will be big enough .
