craftyhunnypie Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 My lovely lavender Araucana cockerel, now lives round the corner at my chicken friends house. He desperately wanted a cockerel, Poppet had a bare bum due to being plucked at by the girls & we felt so sorry for him, we just wanted him to feather back up- so my friend has let him move in with his girls just round the corner from my house. I'm hoping he will crow again, as he was not the dominant cockerel at our house. He's already had some mixed corn & crouched for my friends little Welsummer. He had a loving home with us, but will have a better chance of being fully happy & feathering up again without being plucked in his new home. Missing him already though.
