Dodge
o.k. slight problem, because I am at work my firewall does not let me see your pictures. Unless you can post them in the gallery? I will have to wait until I get home tonight. Sorry
katieadams
Doh! I've looked at the gallery but there's nowhere I can see that it wouldn't get chucked off by the mods - not to worry I'm going out now anyway so whenever you get chance it'll be much appreciated! Dodge
Hi sorry not to get back sooner, I would use an orbital sander http://www.wickes.co.uk/Sanders/280W-Orbital-Sander/invt/186871 for the borders and a belt sander http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/catalogId/1500001501/partNumber/7111363.htmfor the rest of the table. The belt sander is a bit of a beast and will make short work of taking your table back to bare wood. The orbital sander has a lot more control and you should have no problem following the grain on the boarders. If you don't want to re stain the table then 3 or 4 coats of danish oil rubbed in with a lint free cloth will give you a brilliant glossy hard finnish. Hope this helps Dodge
Egluntyne
Thats the stuff I suspected rules and regulations would mean it was a shadow of its former self. Used to be wicked stuff. It did indeed. We put it on one side of a door once, to remove umpteen layers of paint......and it caused the paint on the other side to blister....and the door was 2 inches thick! Danish oil sounds just the ticket too
