Guest Posted May 27, 2009 Share Posted May 27, 2009 Well we are having a lovely relaxing time. It rained in Spain but was sunny in Lisbon - where I went for a lovely walk. NOT impressed with Princess Cruises and seriously doubt we will travel with them again. There is no choice of vegitarian food (all other lines have a seperate veggie menu) the casino is a no go area as they allow smoking in there and it smells DISGUSTING. The shop rips you off for emergency pharmacy type purchases ($12 for something that cost 4 euros??). Oh and they charge you $10 each for transfers in port that are FREE on all other lines - they even charge for babies! Then if you ask the staff they make up answers - there are some lovely staff, very multicultural but there are also a load of staff from one country who are very rude and dismissive. We all got sunburned by the pool yesterday - mind you I'd already burned my nose even bundled up under towels to watch the F1 on the giant outdoor screen! That's been another bugbear though - they show movies on there - one in the afternoon and one in the evening. In the afternoon the pool was FULL of small kids and they put on a PG13 film. As ever we've met some lovely people and taken part in some interesting activities - James is growing up and staying up to come dancing with us - the entertainment staff are great. Sympathetic vibes for the burnt bits...I am also burned and now it's too cold to wander around in the only vest top which is comfy, so the blouse & jumper are rubbing up my delicate skin !!
