Chucky Mama
Am looking after friends bantams for the weekend and notice that some have bald looking heads. Could this be some sort of skin disease/mite or feather pecking? Or is it a bantam thing?
Budgies
It could be a mini moult - these start at the head or neck and move down the body. Alternatively, it could be that they have mites and are pecking because of the irritation. Or if there's a fully feathered one smiling at you, it's likely to be her sampling the others' feathers!! I'd dust them for mites if possible and keep a close eye to see if someone's bullying.

Chucky Mama
Thanks for your help, poor little girl looks like she was being pecked by the others, she was apparantly badly beaten up by the others yesterday and died overnight
