Chook n Boo Mum
Buffy & Drusilla had both been sitting on the nest box for at least 2 hours, when I decided that it was actually a perfect opportunity to...........apply some Ukadex using the jar & paintbrush technique I adopted the last time I used it! They moved off the nestbox quite quickly with only a small amount of the revolting stuff wiped round their necks, but hopefully enough to deter the naughty Willow from having another feather-snack..."a two birds with one stone" result in my book.... they are still cursing at me Sha x

Chook n Boo Mum
As they've been plucked from their necks up to the top of their heads I didn't want to risk the revolting stuff getting into their eyes, ears & mouths. It's one thing spraying their bottoms or backs as they are away from the more delicate areas, but I'd imagine the can being sprayed near their ears would be a terrifying sound. Daft mare that I am though, I decided as I wasn't doing too much spraying I'd just glove-up & stand up-wind....fine except the hand which was holding the spray has an arm attached which was in the line of fine spray coming out of the jar....ooops, I may not have many friends tonight at DD's swimming session !!! BTW Fairy liquid and a good dose of teatree oil does a pretty good job of removing most of the stench, just remember to add lots of handcream afterwards ! The jar/brush & Ukadex live outside in a dixiecan...there's on way on this earth that stuff is coming back inside the house Sha x
