Just wondering what the differences are and which is easier to maintain and how often do you have to clean each one out???

Hemp as Hemcore is easy to use nice and clean and as long as it stays dry you can pick the poo out easily as often as you like. I had it down in cube run for 3 months and changed it when for some reason it became damp - rising from under the slabs I think.

I've got a mix of woodchips and hemcore down now but wish I'd stayed with just hemcore.

 

I don't know about flax.

No idea about flax bedding either.

 

I use Auboise (the French brand of hemp bedding, Hemcore is the UK brand). It is great. I have it in the nest box and in the run. I change it once a month. Soaks up poops great. Composts well.
