This may be better posted on the clinic site but.....

One of my ex batts has quite a bald bum, which isn't really a problem - the problem is that where she isn't bald she has matted poo which the other batts keenly peck at. I've had her a week now and although they are still quite timid do you think I should give her bum a wash using warm water or just leave it to eventually all fall off. I don't want to frighten her to death....any advice please.

I can't see how a little wash would harm her...... If the others are pecking her bum I'd spray it with purple spray....

I would wash her bum in some warm water and just a drop of ecover washing up liquid. Leave her to dry her knickers in the sun or blast her rear with a hairdryer from a distance - she will love this, mine do!

I've moved the thread to clinic for you Julia.

 

She probably would feel better for a bum wash, I wouldn't go too over the top just a wet sponge and a wipe over and towel dry.
