Pedro1962
Just wondering if omlet hens are wormed before delivery. If not, at what point would I need to worm them? I assume this is an important question to ask any supplier, as I am intending to get 3 hens from Thornes as well as the 2 omlet girls. Thornes give a detailed run-down of their vaccination procedure HERE but there's no mention of worming.
Redwing
I would wait a few weeks for them to settle down and then worm them, it won't do any harm if they had been wormed before you got them, I don't believe they can overdose on wormer but a few weeks might be prudent so that you have got to know them and their tummies have settled down (they get the runs a bit after they arrive its enough to put you off but bear with it!) Pedro1962
Many thanks. At least I can now cross flubenvet off my ever-lengthening list of things to get (for the time being).
