Hi everyone,

 

My has half heartedly been broody twice in the last three weeks. I thought it was rare of this breed to go broody... is this correct? Also when this happens she is very on edge and does not lay for about a week. Her behaviour changes and she will not let me near her. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again or is it just a force or nature that is out of my hands!?

I've had a Miss Pepperpot go broody on me a couple of times.

 

Sounds as if she can't make her mind up.

Thanks Egluntine... That is what I was thinking.

She seems to have gone back to normal (for now) I think if it happens again I will have to resort to the cage method!
