meezers Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 I've posted in the clinic forum, but if anyone has any suggestions? Elsie is still no better after laying her shell less egg yesterday. She's sitting in the run , eyes half closed, refusing to eat ( I've tempted her with all her favourites) and she's not drinking either- yesterday she was . Could it be peritonitis ( sp? ) that so many of you have posted about. But I'm not sure she has all the symptoms, she's a good layer, and was in the best of health ( but really skinny - always has been ) until yesterday morning. She is a warren ( not ex bat, but same breed ) and I'm wondering if this is something that is just typical of this breed- are they just programmed to 'burn out' snd die like this ?
