We would like to get more girls to take over from our current ones as they retire, but idealy we would like to get about 3 now and another 3 in a years time. We would like some help in choosing breeds that take introductions better than others.

 

We had a lot of trouble when we introduced a White Star and a Light Sussex to our 2 remaining Pepperpots a couple of years ago, and kmowing what I know now I would never introduce a White Star into an exisiting group and I think 2 white to 2 brown was asking for trouble too.

 

We will be keeping them seperate, except from maybe freeranging, from our current girls.
