bellerock
My Bluebelle chicken is being treated for lice for about 6 weeks now. Vet gave me some louse powder to apply once a week and treat run and eglu. Checked her again last night and she's still covered in lice. Any ideas how I can get rid of the lice please? Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum, Bellerock . It really shouldn't take six weeks to get rid of lice . Does your vet know much about chickens? We've had lice twice and one spray with Johnson's Anti Mite Spray (*Not licensed for use in poultry in UK*) does the trick. There is an egg withdrawal period of 3 days but it works almost immediately. You can get it at Pets At Home for about £3 or £4.
