4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Wrong forum I'm guessing (hopefully the mods would move it if need be! ), but thought someone may be able to help. I've just gone into the garden and found a blackbird bent almost double, but backwards. The top of it's head is touching it's tail, so that it's throat it exposed. It's obviously very unwell, and unable to move, but still alive. Is the best thing to do to dispatch it, and if so, how? I would just leave it to see what happens, but we have a house party starting here in a bit.....

I think I agree - I've just gone to put the umbrella out and it looks worse to me. Not nice, but how? Spade? Sorry for those eating breakfast...

It is done. Hubby did it. I couldn't. Have just bawled my eyes out. I don't understand why. When I worked at the vets I used to put animals to sleep no problem - I don't know why, this was just different.
