sleepymummy
Hi there, I just wanted to thank everyone who has been giving me advice over the last few weeks. I took Gloria to the vets on Wednesday who diagnosed possible egg peritonitis. I have been giving her antibiotics which certainly made her more comfortable. She started eating with gusto. Unfortunately, she died this afternoon. She went quickly and I am just thankful it didn't go on and on for her. I'm off to buy Marsha some pals tomorrow so I am sure I will be asking more advice on introducing new hens to a very terrotorial hen who can't even let a robin go about his business in peace! Many thanks
Olly
Very sorry to hear that, am glad that she was more comfortable and, as you say, it was quick. I hope you can find some new friends for Marsha, if you look in the FAQs section there's a sticky on introducing new chickens with some excellent advice. sleepymummy
Thanks. Yes I looked at the info before I went and bought my new 2. Very interesting. They are point of lay, extremely nervous and Marsha is being horrid. Not violent as such but mind games I think! I am sure they will setlle soon.
