Jewels
Hi, just like to say thanks to those who answered by call for help last week when one of my girls had laid three soft shelled eggs in a row. On the saturday I went out and brought some oyster shell as suggested. I gave them both this, although somewhat haphazzardly, the man in the shop said offer it as a treat, no such luck with my girls who expect porridge every morning, they were NOT impressed by the oyster shell. The man in the shop said try not to mix the shell with anything but I had to to make them eat it, i put some mashed potato in with it and they gobbled it down, I also started a 7 day course of worming on the Saturday morning. No eggs at all on Sunday, but today TWO normal eggs, so don't know whether it is the oyster shell helping or me worming them, but fingers crossed we seem back to "normal" (whatever that is with chickens) thanks again everyone
