Headchicken
So, Dax has been crouching for 19 days now, and still no egg! We have a lot of bushes and fern, etc on our property, so I've done the best I can to do a daily egg check, but nothing has turned up so far. Just yesterday, Trouble started crouching and doing this stomping/tap dance that is just hilarious! I love these girls more and more! Then this morning, Sirella crouched too! The big news is that I left them in the run a little this morning in hopes of an egg. Well, I was straightening the back porch and heard a horribly loud squawking, etc. I looked up and Dax was missing from the run. As I walked up to the cube, I heard that the noise was from inside the cube. I peeked in the eggport and Dax was sitting on the divider to the egg-box! The paper and shavings in the box were all tussled-up, too! No egg, but looks like we're trying? False labor maybe? I've got two plastic easter eggs in the eggbox to give them the "idea"-- hopefully they'll get the hint!
Snowy
It's a good sign! We also get lots of testing out the nest box before finally producing anything! Trust me you will have an egg any day now
Headchicken
I sure hope so! I'm going to go scrub the cube during the kids naptime in hopes that they'll feel really "homey" in a freshly cleaned space and want to lay an egg in appreciation
