Captain Buster
We have a 12 x 10 chicken run with a hutch inside. There is a frame inside the run, which we use to protect a patch of new grass (growing for the chooks). The chooks like to roost on this frame until late at night and possibly even through the night. Should we make them go in the hutch at night? The run is wired top and sides with paving slabs all round the out side and should be safe for them. Patricia W
Personally, if it's fox proof I'd leave them. Mine would love to do this, but they get enticed/shoved into the eglu with the door locked every night. But if I'd got a secure WIR I wouldn't bother Tricia
Captain Buster
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, you've settled a dispute. That's great. Sue ps the grandchildren chose the chickens' names hence Captain Buster
