Bantams are typically 1/4 - 1/5 size replicas of LF. If there is no L/F equivalent then properly the bird is called a true bantam, and all others can be called miniatures or bantams. However, you'll find most people call everything a bantam. For showing, the distinction is made between bantams and true bantams.

I know there is some debate about silkie sizes.

In your particular case I'm not sure whether you have bantams - were the parents bantams to start with?

However, yours are cross breeds not hybrids (aka crosses or X). Hybrids are commercially 'made' crosses based on careful selection of various characteristics from different breeds/strains which have then been standardised over a period of time and which are now available in large quantities.

HTH a bit :)
