clucky clarke's
Hi Everyone, I just need some advice, if possible . I have just been given 2 female bunnies and over the weekend I noticed that molly will not stop piggy backing Susie . They are definately 2 girls. Should i separate them? It really seems to be getting Susie down . Everytime she hops around molly starts bonking her and so Susie backs into the corner of the hutch. Not sure what to do for best? Keep them together or separate them? What do you think? Thanks.

How old are they ? At the end of the day you have two options - seperate them or have them spayed...If they are reaching puberty, it could get worse. FruitandNutCake
I would definitely get them both spayed - regardless of whether they are kept together or not, it is much better for them to be spayed as it prevents cancer. I had two "females" once. Vet was definite Holly was a girl - but she turned out to be a boy after all - even vets can make a mistake when they are young - so get a second opinion - just in case!! Secondly, if one is being worn out by the constant unwanted attention, you will need to separate them, but keep them in sight of each other. Young rabbits can die from exhaustion if they are under constant demand/attack and not separated. Once they are both neutered, they will probably be fine together - they may just need some time.
