bexbex
Hi all! We're getting an egg a day at the minute from martha but nothing from Delia or Wendy. Wendy has been showing signs lately that she will start laying soon though. This morning I've let them out and fed them and Wendy has taken herself inside and is protesting LOUDLY if any of the other 2 come anywhere near the Coop! Is this normal behavour? Should I just leave them to sort it out themselves? Becki x

She's just come out and joined the others so we lifted up the nest box and ........... nothing... lol So I've opened up the coop and had a look and there was Wendy's first egg in the corner of the coop!!!!!!! but what a noise!!!!!! Carol U
Sounds as if Wendy is about to lay! We have one who is a very touchy layer and makes a dreadful fuss if any of the others go anywhere near the eglu when she's laying. The others will cross their legs for as long as possible, then turf her out if she takes too long. Needless to say, they couldn't possibly use the other nesting boxes - it has to be the one Myrtle is in! Just let them get on with it - they'll sort it out.
