jenuk99
Hi I have two Netherland dwarfs, boy and girl both neutred, dougal is about 9 months and mac is about a year and a half, they are both house rabbits. I have noticed that they are both looking a bit shabby in the coat department. Mac has an area across her back end where you can pull out a lot of loose hair, there is new hair growing through underneath. From what I had read I didn't think inside bunnies had molts so is this normal or a mini molt? Thanks for your help Jen x
bigmommasally
Hi Jen I'm not sure but I thought indoor bunnies moult all year round where as outdoor bunnies have a moulting season. I've also read somewhere that pineapple (the core) is good for bunnies when they are moulting.
jenuk99
Thanks thats what I thought about the moult, but it appears that its just her rear end that needs a fresh coat. The new hair is growing through nicely and the old stuff is mostly out now. Thanks about the pinapple will give that a try. Jen xx
