Cate in NZ
Hi all. Just thought I'd hijack this thread, (and steer it back to topic- unusual for me I know ) to say I'm back from my hols too. Had a brilliant time in Brittany, we found a large campsite with loads of child friendly activities, but also with quiet, shady pitches. And, on the second day whilst exploring we came across a little family of chickens wandering around, so I felt quite at home . I think the German family camped near the chickens probably thought I was a bit odd though Anyway I'm feeling good, rested, lightly tanned and 1/2 a stone heavier I wish I didn't like french cheese and wine quite so much Back to the diet then But you guys have been so busy since I've been away, 2 pages of new posts on chickens and nesting box . I've only had chance to read a fraction of them, and I've not visited Chicken clinic at all. So, hello and welcome to all the new omleteers (over 600 now , this forum is expanding so quickly), congratulations on all those new eglus, chickens and first eggs; well done to those who did well in their GCSE's, and to all those with other good news (saw the car in another thread Annie- I am soo jealous, but I couldn't fit 2 children and what seems like the entire contents of Waitrose in that, like I regularly do in my car, so not practical for me, but I'm still ), seen the pink eglu news motherhen , and what a fantastic way to use the flowery one. Love the Faces thread- I'll have another attempt with the technology later, try to add myself (stand by for the anguished PM Kate, when I get it wrong again ). I hope there's not too much bad news to catch up on, but huge , & cyber hugs to anyone with sad news. Boy it's good to be back, but I think my eglu eyes and eglu bum are going to be in for a tough few days catching up. Oh, and my orange eglu & 2 chickens arrive this afternoon. I'm soooo excited I'll post about that later. Better go now, got to get to work, but I'll do more catching up later.
