In a bid to use up as much veg from the garden & to save a few pennies, I have bought the bare minimum this week, I spent £40 on my Monday shop, as opposed to the usual £90

 

So, on the menu is..............

 

Ham & Cabbage Broth - had to buy the Ham, cabbage a gift from a friend,pots,onions,courgettes & carrots from garden.

 

Roast Chicken - Willow farm chicken half price, roast pots, carrots, peas from garden

 

Cold leftover chicken,chips pickles & salad, all the salad from the garden, chips from garden potatoes

 

Wine braised sausages - Sausages already in freezer, cherry toms from garden, with new pots from garden. We always have wine in the house anyhow

 

Spaghetti Giardino (a veggie,winey sauce) - Courgetes,onions,carrots from garden, had to buy celery,store cupboard spaghetti.

 

 

 

I could have made bread for the week too, but really couldn't be bothered

But I have made a Bread Pudding to keep the sweet tooths in the house happy, & to use up last weeks bread.

I will make a good stock from the roast chicken carcuss too, so will really get 3 meals out of it - can't be bad,can it?
