Guest
I was trying to get a 'ticker' onto my Earthcam page at: http://www.mycampage.com/featheryadventures I have tried both codes offered on the ticker factory wizard - bb Code and HTML, but neither bring up the ticker on the webcam site. Does anyone have a clue about how to achieve this?
Happy-Mama
sorry can't help with the ticker factory, if all else fails you could try lilypie.com which is who i've used for mine I think they offered 3 codes to choose from.
Egluntyne
I think you need to remove the bits I have highlighted in red And then it seems to appear as below.
Guest
Hmm it must be something to do with the Earthcam site then - it is still coming up as code... Will have a go at the other site. Thanks for the replies.
Geoid
Its not going to be BBcode, that is for forums only, it will be HTML, try putting this on your site:
Guest
Eugh! Still no joy! I have sent a technical question to the Earthcam helpdesk. I wonder if they will answer it?
Geoid
I downloaded the source code and had a tinker with it, I tried adding the ticker and it worked.
majorbloodnock
If you open up the page, then right click on it and select "view source", you'll see the underlying html. When I did that, I noticed that your img tag wasn't properly formatted. Instead, the < and > characters had been replaced with < and > whilst the quotes had been replaced with " In other words, whatever editor you were using to alter the html code was being "helpful" with the html tag you were given and translating certain characters so they would appear literally. When I saved the source as a local html file and translated back, that page worked fine, as did the ticker. What are you using to edit your web pages? Geoid
What are you using to edit your web pages? The website has a built in WYSIWYG editor, but I found the 'source' button.
