4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi

 

One of my ladies has had a "plucked" area on her breast for a short time. Initially I put it down (perhaps due to my novice status) to either a moult or about to get broody but she's done neither properly and the area is now devoid of feathers.

 

In herself she is absolutely fine and is not being picked on at all by her mates (as far as I can tell).

 

Any ideas?

It's not unusual in the summer Tony. Provided that she's not got lice, I wouldn't worry about it.

 

Some of mine do that every summer, then feather up again for the cold weather.
