It's also possible to get "non-brewed condiments" with or without colouring, and that can be used too; eventually it's only acetic acid diluted in water. Mrs Frugal Posted August 7, 2009 Share Posted August 7, 2009 If you have a Chinese supermarket nearby, they usually stock large bags of bicarb and big containers of distilled white vinegar cheaply. I can get bicarb in 3kg bags and 5 litre bottles of vinegar. These will last me 6 months at the least and are so much cheaper than buying from the big name supermarkets .
