abwsco
Just thought I'd do another update. Still doing this and they're still eating it They seem to love it most when the cod liver oil has been added to it. I've still got over half a bag of maize left and a third of the barley so it's definately working out cheaper. Also still got a bit of wheat left. Eggs are still up and down but I'm sure that it's nothing to do with this and only due to the time of year plus it's time for me to worm them. Mo our CL has also decided to start laying again, as well as crowing again , after MONTHS off and although now longer with us Patty one of our exbatts who was always scruffy had even started getting lots of new feathers coming through before she died. Could just be coincidence but I don't think so. I still haven't got round to sprouting any grains though
Griffin
My black beans were a diaster. I set aside some wheat a few days ago but haven't got around to actually putting it into jars yet Last week, Valerie who hadn't laid an egg in months surprised us all with a perfectly formed egg! When she was laying it was softees or sand paper thin shelled eggs. I know it was her because I found her in a nest box, checked there were no eggs under her, waited until she came out and she'd done it! I felt so proud of her
