Hi ,

 

I currently use Xeno200 on my hens but have had difficulties getting it, but keep seeing products listed with - Ivermectin,Ivomec & Ivomec eprinex .

 

Whilst I appreciate none are licensed for hens, which one is best for hens & at what dosage?

 

What's the difference between them? Do you use instead of Flubenvet?

 

Where can I get it ?

Ivermectin is a mild wormer, so I shouldn't rely on it, and use another poultry wormer as back-up.

 

I used Xeno200 for a while, but switched back to Ivomec Eprinex (cattle pour-on) *not licenced for use on poultry in the UK* as my vet told me that it will kill mites as well as lice, whereas it was questionable whether Ivermectin would kill both.

 

This is just what I have been told though - I am happy to be corrected.

I get mine from West Bar vets in Banbury (see that you're near us) they have prescribed it for my hens. You can get it on the internet, but they require you to confirm that you are using it for cattle.

I'm convinced my brain has been red mited!!

 

On searching websites I can find either ivomec cattle pour on or eprinex pour on but not both together - which is best ?

 

Also would I still need to use Flubenvet for worms ?

 

Sorry to keep asking but feel a bit desperate & itchy!
