PeggySue1
One of our girls laid a soft egg today It had slipped through their roosting bars in the Eglu. What a weird thing it is in fact I couldn't put it down as I was fascinated by the texture - cricky I really must get out more I finally had to dispose of it as it was grossing out my OH. I put this production piece down to an exceeding hot day we had yesterday, even though they had plenty of shade to sprall in, and receive plenty of calcium in their diet. Funny how no-one wanted eggs this evening
chickencam
Soft eggs do give an insight into how they are made, one of mine laid just a tiny marble sized one that was all white and no yolk.
