How much of this should I add to their drinking water, and can it be added to anything else like food? Roughly how long will it be before I should see an improvement? sandyhas3chucks Posted August 26, 2009 Share Posted August 26, 2009 I use the dose it says on my bottle for people. 12 drops to a class of water. roughly translate a squeeze into a coop cup! Apparently it is very bitter tasting though not tried it myself. My girls (who won't touch water with lifequard or Battles in it) drink it no problem, and they eat all sorts of bitter stuf in the garden! sandyhas3chucks Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 If you have tried citricidal with no success, then I would assume you have been trying it for a specific reason. therefore I would suggest a trip to the vets as respiratory diseases with choickens is VERY serious, and certainly need checking over by a vet! Vix_Chicks Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Hello Sandy. Yes, my girls have a runny nose too. I have tried putting in the dosage they suggest, but it hasn't cleared it up. There nose isn't always running, they give it a good clean with their foot every now and again. Hetty makes the odd 'honk' noise every now and again. Not sure what else I should do? sandyhas3chucks Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 I am afraid with the chooks I don't mess about, if I don't get it sorted fast, iy is off to the vet. these girls can go dpwn real fast. Only recently I had an iff tummy for ages but the chook seemed fine. I decided enough was enough, sent sample to retfords. Before the sample was tested she got very poorly.
