Hi,

Lily has been sneezing a bit lately so I bought some citricidal. How much of this should I add to their drinking water, and can it be added to anything else like food?

 

Roughly how long will it be before I should see an improvement?

 

If citricidal doesn't do the trick, what can I try next?

I use the dose it says on my bottle for people. 12 drops to a class of water.

roughly translate a squeeze into a coop cup!

Apparently it is very bitter tasting though not tried it myself.

My girls (who won't touch water with lifequard or Battles in it) drink it no problem, and they eat all sorts of bitter stuf in the garden!

If you have tried citricidal with no success, then I would assume you have been trying it for a specific reason.

therefore I would suggest a trip to the vets as respiratory diseases with choickens is VERY serious, and certainly need checking over by a vet!

Hello Sandy. Yes, my girls have a runny nose too. I have tried putting in the dosage they suggest, but it hasn't cleared it up. There nose isn't always running, they give it a good clean with their foot every now and again. Hetty makes the odd 'honk' noise every now and again. Not sure what else I should do?

It's not really runny, perhaps, just a bit of clear liquid comes out every now and again

I am afraid with the chooks I don't mess about, if I don't get it sorted fast, iy is off to the vet.

these girls can go dpwn real fast.

Only recently I had an iff tummy for ages but the chook seemed fine. I decided enough was enough, sent sample to retfords.

Before the sample was tested she got very poorly.

I have the right meds, I do hope soon enough!

About a week now & I am still very concerned for her!
