4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hello all.

 

New to all this. Just got the coop, and want to get birdies tomorrow.

Is it ok to get 1 from one farm, and 3 from another??

The farms are reputable and the girls will have been vaccinated?? I just wonder if it will cause a problem when I stick them all in the coop together??

 

I want to get a variety of breeds, and stocks are low round here, hence wanting to mix.

It is , especially as you are getting them on the same day.

 

I wold keep them in boxes until you have them all and put them in the Eglu at the same time though, so that no-one does the 'Oi, this is my gaffe' routine.

Brilliant. Thank you... Its just that my 3 year old has fallen in love with a blue/lavender type at one farm, and keeps talking about his 'cocky' that we will pick up on Sunday. Myself and the other 2 lads have fallen for a buff orpie and rhodie, and a black maran, 15 miles away.

 

I do make life complicated don't I !??

I got my 5 girls on one day from 3 different lots at an auction. They all then went into 2 cardboard boxes and unpacked into their new home.

 

Been fine for us, had a few feathers fly forst couple of hours, but been quiet ever since:-)
