Well had a lovely week away in Wales and left the chickens under the care of my dad who looked after them well.

Before we went Wendy became broody and refused to budge from her nest. I cleaned them out before I went and was met by a very vocal protest from wendy so being in her nest! lol

I put down plenty of powder where she was sat as had a feeling she was going to spend quite some time there!

She was fine all week, been kicking her own in the afternoon for some corn so she's eating well still and is looking good to say she's been sat on her bum for a week! lol

Martha and Delia are still getting past her to pay their 2 eggs a day so still getting something out of them! haha.. she's been broody for 2 weeks now so hopefully only another week to go and she'll realise she hasn't been sat on anything at all!

lol my girl poppy is still broody, its nearly been 3 weeks now, ive trie dunking her in water but it hasnt worked

My girl Honey was broody for about a month and a half as long as you keep making sure she is eating, drinking and Mite free, she should be okay

She seems quite happy unless you're cleaning her bed out!! I like to keep them very clean too so she has a sprinkly of powder under her where she's sat so nothing can get to her.. I'm hoping she'll snap out of it soon though!

Do you find once they've had chance to go broody they're broody more often?

She's very funny when she shouts at me though... haha
