beach chick
treated the girls with Johnsons on Sunday, and literally covered the cube and dustbaths with diatom/redmite powder/louse powder the day before. currently withdrawing eggs til tomorrow, and planning to powder them next Sunday. I had meant to worm them at the beginning of Sept, but the lice treatment kind of took over. is it too soon to give flubenvet in the light of the above, should I hold off for a week or so, or is it ok to start giving that? thanks! Chucky Mama
I would always advise a shot break between any treatments. A week should be plenty of time.
beach chick
thanks chucky mama - so if I louse powder next w/e, wait to start flub til the w/e after??
Chucky Mama
I don't see any problem with louse powder and Flubenvet at the same time. If your girls are in apparent good health then I would be inclined to start when your egg withdrawal is over as this indicates that enough time has passed for their systems are pretty clear. It is more of an issue bombarding chickens or any animals with all sorts of medicines and potions if they are under par.
