Violet and Alice, have declared open season on crane flies. They're whizzing around the garden jumping up, and catching every other fly. Is a surfeit of craneflies going to do them any harm. They're all into eating livestock, but Fern and Heather (coffee bum) prefer beetles and spiders. They all love slugs though..........

I would image all the exercise will burn off any calories in a crane fly I'm no expert but I can't imagine they would do any harm at all. They must be a seasonal delicacy!
